Confidence and preparation are crucial elements in getting past rival Choco Mucho in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), according to Creamline team captain Alyssa Valdez.
Entering the match with an 7-2 win-loss record following their latest win over Nxled in Pasig City, the Cool Smashers look ready to go all the way again.
"I think more than the win, it's about reminding ourselves that we need to find our rhythm as a team in this conference. We're slowly building that confidence and rediscovering our identity," said Valdez.
Despite their dominance in the PVL, the Cool Smashers prefer to take it one game at a time, aiming to gradually regain their momentum with each match.
"The upcoming games are quite interesting and exciting, so we need to see ourselves and our confidence. As a veteran team, it's not just about skills; it's about giving our all on the court, no matter who the opponent is. We're very happy with our progress," she added.
Meanwhile, Choco Mucho is determined to seek redemption.
Despite being sister teams with Creamline, they view themselves as fierce rivals on the court and are preparing diligently for the upcoming match.
"Of course, we'll put in the effort during training, giving our hundred percent to ensure that we're fully prepared for the game and our upcoming matches. Especially against Creamline, who are a formidable team," said Royse Tubino.
With players like Tubino leading the charge, Choco Mucho aims to showcase its skills and pose a tough challenge for Creamline in their next showdown.
