CREAMLINE beat sister team Choco Mucho, 25-12, 25-22, 19-25, 25-18, for its sixth straight victory in the PVL Open Conference on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan.

Alyssa Valdez scored 25 points on 21 attacks, two blocks and two aces, while making 12 digs and 11 excellent receptions for the Cool Smashers.

“We were formed three year’s back so yung pag-jejell namin sa team nakukuha na rin namin but siyempre hindi pa rin kami ganun ka-consistent,” said Valdez.

“I think their advantage as a new team, they are really unpredictable. It works for them but at the end of the day, it boils down kasi sa experience talaga.”

Jema Galanza and Celine Domingo delivered 11 points apiece as Creamline completed the win in one hour and 55 minutes.

Jia Morado made 28 excellent sets and fired four of the Cool Smashers’ 11 aces.

“The key on our win today is the distribution of Jia,” said Valdez as they survived Choco Mucho’s 10 blocks.

“Their strength was blocking so she had to spread out the attackers para hindi nila mabasa kung san kami pupunta.”

Kat Tolentino had 14 attacks, five blocks and an ace for 20 points, while Maddie Madayag added 13 markers for Choco Mucho, which suffered its second straight loss for a 2-3 win-loss record.
