TIP made short work of Perpetual, 25-16, 25-13, 25-15, in the Shakey's V-League Collegiate conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Wednesday.
Mylene Paat led the charge for the Lady Engineers, scoring 13 points including three blocks, while Alyssa Layug and Relea Saet chipped in 10 and nine markers, respectively.
TIP improved to a 2-1 win-loss card to tie San Sebastian at second spot in Group A.
Perpetual remained winless in two outings.
Ma. Lourdes Clemente was the lone bright spot for the Lady Altas as she punched in 12 points.
Despite the impressive showing, TIP head coach Achilles Paril is not yet satisfied with how his wards are playing.
"Hindi pa lumalabas gusto kong makita. Gusto ko sana ma-lessen errors namin," said Paril.
Paril hopes to address their error-prone ways in time for their clash with the Gretchel Soltones-led San Sebastian on Monday. A win against the Lady Stags will give them a free ride to the next round of the eliminations.
But the TIP tactician knows it won't be a walk in the park.
"Hindi ganun kadali kasi Baste kalaban namin. Malakas masyado ang Baste," he said.
