CIGNAL bounced back in a big way as it dominated the Foton Tornadoes, 25-10, 25-16, 25-22, in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference, Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Frances Molina and Jovelyn Conzaga led Cignal in the scoring department with 16 and 14 points respectively, helping them return to winning ways in straight sets after a tough loss to the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
Setter Maria Cayuna unlocked the Cignal offense with a game-high 22 excellent sets.
“Thankful din kasi nagkaroon kami ng mahaba-habang preparation para sa game na to. Pinaghandaan talaga namin kasi gusto naming bumawi. Lahat naman ng game crucial talaga kaya kailangan ipanalo,” said Cayuna.
“Di parin natatapos yung gusto namin ipakita na performance namin dahil day by day, habang nag-ttraining kami, perfectionist talaga si coach na kahit isang bola ayaw niya bumagsak. Lalo’t na 10 days kami naghanda, kailangan talaga naging maganda ang performance namin today para tumaas morale namin,” added Molina.
The Shaq Delos Santos-led team dominated all over the floor today, out-scoring the Tornadoes in attack points, 56-26, as they improved to 2-1 in the Invitational.
Despite the win, the Cignal mentor looks ahead to their crucial last two games against the Farm Fresh Foxies and Choco Mucho Titans.
“Kailangan na maibigay namin yung best namin. Yung maging normal routine namin everyday, every training, especially pagdating ng game kasi iba talaga yung pag-handle ng pressure pagdating sa game. So kailangan namin tapusin lang muna namin yung last two games namin, one at a time, and then prepare ulit sa next round.”
Team captain Shaya Adorador paced the Foton Tornadoes with 13 markers as they are still in search for their first victory when they come up against the Farm Fresh Foxies on Saturday.
