CIGNAL paraded new import Katrin Trebichavska in a 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 16-14 decision against winless Nxled in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Saturday at the Ynares Center II in Montalban, Rizal.

The Super Spikers rode the coattails of their all-Filipino rout of PLDT by turning a two-game slump with Greek spiker Eva Chantava into a two-game win run.

“I’m obviously super glad that we won. For me, it was a rough performance and I hope I can just help the team more in the future,” said Trebichavska.

“A win is a win kahit five sets pa ‘yan and that’s our goal naman na mas makakuha pa ng mga panalo. Just happy and proud sa team namin, especially kay Erika [Santos] na birthday girl and sa new import namin,” added head coach Shaq Delos Santos.

Cignal first took a conservative approach upon limiting its replacement import to a reserve role in the earlygoings of her PVL debut roughly three days since arriving in the Philippines.

But once the Chameleons got going in the second and third cantos, Trebichavska stepped up to the plate alongside Santos, who celebrated turning a year older, with 21 points apiece to dodge the black-and-green upset ax.

It was even Nxled that reached match point first at 14-13.

But after a pair of clutch points from Trebichavska and Rose Doria-Aquino plus Chameleons import Paola Martinez’ attack error, the Super Spikers got the last laugh in the extended tiebreak.

The 25-year-old Slovakian also churned out 10 points and seven receptions to backstop captain Dawn Catindig’s 17-dig, nine-reception effort.

Gel Cayuna also posted 29 excellent sets to steady Cignal’s ship in the two-hour, 30-minute contest.

Nxled's plug still pulled

Martinez had a scoring masterclass in Montalban where she dazzled with a 38-piece built on 34 attacks and four blocks. That made her the 44th player and 26th import to enter the league's 30-point club in eight years.

Lyann de Guzman’s triple-double of 11 points, 15 digs, and 13 receptions also went for naught behind Chiara Permentilla’s 16 markers.
