F2 Logistics prevailed in a titanic clash against erstwhile unbeaten Choco Mucho in an epic 21-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-21, 18-16 decision in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.

Under bizarre conditions, both teams endured a heated battle on the court and a humid challenge around it as they played without air conditioning inside the venue.

But in the end, a resilient F2 side led by Kianna Dy's 24-point output (21 attacks, two blocks, and once ace) was much too strong for the Flying Titans in the endgame.

"Medyo speechless pa ako kasi grabe 'yung laban," Dy admitted. "Everyone really worked hard, from my teammates to the coaches, even to the fans. Grabe sila mag-uplift sa'min so we're really thankful for everyone."

"We're really thankful for the coaches kasi kung 'di sila nag-challenge 'di ba, so it was really a team effort."

F2 tactician Regine Diego lauded her wards for the win but brushed off any championship-seeking narratives midway through the preliminary phase.

"This win is very important for us kasi siyempre Choco Mucho is also one of the top seeds, but we have to learn from this also and we'll keep on going. We can't stop because it's not yet done," Diego said.

"This is not the championship. It was just a good game with my girls and maybe luckier than Choco Mucho because they are titans at sobrang lakas nila ngayon. We just really worked together, that's it," she added.

Meanwhile, it was a bittersweet night for the Flying Titans as Sisi Rondina's conference-best 28 points was also marred by unfortunate events involving Cherry Nunag and Des Cheng who was stretchered off the venue to heat exhaustion.

Next up for both teams will be the Petro Gazz Angels, with the Cargo Movers facing them on Thursday and the Flying Titans on Saturday.
