CHOCO Mucho will spice up the competition in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference.
The former Ateneo troika of Bea de Leon, Maddie Madayag and Kat Tolentino will banner the Flying Titans while Oliver Almandro will call the shots for the pioneering commercial league's newest team.
“This is really overwhelming. Malaki to para sa amin bilang coaches and volleyball players because we know it's another chance for us,” said Almadro on Thursday during the press launch at Joy-Nostalg Hotel in Pasig City.
Beefing up the PVL debutants are Gyra Barroga, Bang Pineda, Shang Berte, Shanen Palec, Arianna Angustia, Dancel Dusaran and Erika Alkuino of United Volleyball Club; AC Masangkay of Cignal; and Carla Sandoval of Foton, who all previously played in the Philippine Super Liga.
Kim Gequillana of Ateneo, Dianne Ticar of Iriga-Navy and Cindy Imbo of Perpetual Help complete the lineup.

Expectations are high but Almadro is optimistic that they can give their rivals, including powerhouse sister team Creamline, a run for their money.
“These players are coming from different schools, different teams before,” said Almadro. “For me, putting this up is just putting up a family. So malaking factor para sa amin 'to na mapapakita namin ‘yung talent namin.”
The PVL Open Conference will kick off on August 11 with Choco Mucho, Creamline, Petro Gazz, BaliPure, Motolite, Pacific Town-Army, BanKo Perlas, newcomer Chef Classic and returning Philippine Air Force battling out for the title.
