EYA Laure appears to have avoided a major injury scare after her abrupt exit in the fourth set of Choco Mucho’s four-set loss to Creamline on Tuesday.
In her first-ever Rebisco Clasico, the newest Flying Titan was well on her way to a big night, already piling up 19 points before an awkward fall cut her game short.
Laure went down hard while attempting a dig on a Tots Carlos attack at the 9-4 mark of the fourth set, colliding on the ground with setter Tia Andaya.

Clearly shaken, Laure immediately signaled teammate Thang Ponce and had to be assisted back to the bench for treatment.
Team staff initially requested a wheelchair to escort her to the dugout, but Laure was eventually carried off instead.
It was later disclosed that Laure felt discomfort in her right thigh area during the sequence.
Despite the worrying scene, initial feedback from the Choco Mucho camp suggested the injury was not serious.
Though Laure declined to speak with the media after the match, both head coach Dante Alinsunurin and team captain Sisi Rondina were quick to ease concerns.
“Okay siya,” they said in unison.
“Dati naman niya talaga ‘yun problema, ‘yung sa groin niya. May strain na rin kasi siya sa abs. I think na-pwersa niya lang talaga siguro kanina,” Rondina added.
Laure is set to undergo further treatment and evaluation in the coming days.
For now, the immediate focus is recovery rather than panic, with the Flying Titans hopeful that their prized offseason acquisition won’t miss extended time.
“Hopefully, makabalik siya sa next game,” Rondina said.
Pending medical clearance, Choco Mucho remains optimistic that Laure’s early exit was precautionary rather than a long-term setback.
