CHOCO Mucho got its act together late to down Chef's Classics, 25-21, 22-25, 25-14, 25-18, for its bounce-back win in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Open Conference Saturday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Kat Tolentino powered the Flying Titans with 18 points built on 13 spikes and two blocks, while Arianna Angustia pumped 14 markers to help their side improve to 2-1.

Choco Mucho was left stunned when Nieza Viray and Justine Tiu helped Chef's Classics to a 25-22 second set win -- which was the Lady Red Spikers' first won set of the tourney. That levelled the match at one set apiece.

But that defeat only buoyed the Flying Titans to restore order in the succeeding sets, with Tolentino and Bang Pineda putting on the finishing touches in a dominant fourth set showing.

Maddie Madayag chipped in 12 points for ChocoMucho, as Pineda had 10 markers along with her 14 excellent digs.

Acy Masangkay provided 37 excellent sets to go with her five points in the win as the Flying Titans rebounded from their tough five-set defeat to PacificTown-Army last Wednesday.

The win, however, left a lot to be desired on the part of coach Oliver Almadro, who rued his side's continuous search for chemistry.

"Unfortunately, yung cohesiveness ganoon pa rin, we still lack on that," he said. "Most of my players know the system but sometimes, they tend to go back to what they know before and it will really take time. I trust my players that in time, they'd adjust to it."

Viray paced Chef's Classics with 14 points, while Tiu had 13 in the loss that kept the Lady Red Spikers winless through three outings.
