SIBLING rivalry will again be the theme in a PVL Finals after Choco Mucho took down Petro Gazz, 23-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-20, at the MOA Arena to reach the All-Filipino Conference finals opposite sister team Creamline.
The Flying Titans finished the single-round semifinal round unbeaten to set up a grudge match with Creamline, the same team which denied them a maiden league championship in the 2023 Second All-Filipino Conference.
This finale will be different, however, since Choco Mucho's sweep of the Final Four included an opening victory over Creamline - ending a 12-game losing streak to their more successful siblings that stretched five years.
Sisi Rondina once again showed reliability finishing with 32 points from 22 attacks as Isa Molde added 18 more.
Back in the title bid, team captain Maddie Madayag commends the team's growth having witnessed its progress since it first joined the pro scene five years ago.
"Super happy ako na very confident na maglaro yung team namin, sobrang laking tulong nung pagdating ni coach Dante at Sisi," she said during the post-game interview. "We've come a long way, now I can't believe we're here already."
Like their rival, Choco assured they're ready to give a fight.
Madayag continued: "May pinaghuhugutan kami, gusto namin maglaro manalo para sa mga teammates namin na na-down ngayon."
Creamline beat Chery Tiggo in the day's opening match to finish the semifinals at 2-1 (win-loss).
Petro Gazz (1-2) and Chery Tiggo (0-3) were relegated to the battle for third place.
