THE biggest offseason move in an import-laden conference might just be that of a local player, after all.
Veteran spiker Dindin Santiago-Manabat will be joining the Choco Mucho Flying Titans from Nxled in the first major deal of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) offseason, sources said.
Back in May, the former PVL champion was part of a major shakeup between sister teams Akari and Nxled which saw her land with the Chameleons alongside Trisha Genesis, Bang Pineda, and Roselle Baliton.

In turn, the former Nxled quartet of Ivy Lacsina, Dani Ravena, Kamille Cal, and Camille Victoria were sent to Akari alongside head coach Taka Minowa after swapping places with then-interim Chargers mentor Raffy Mosuela.
Much more for Choco Mucho
But it turned out Nxled is just a pitstop for Manabat, who is now headed to Choco Mucho ahead of the PVL Reinforced Conference starting mid-July, a matter of weeks after the league hosts its first-ever Rookie Draft on July 8.
Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but sources said the three-time Philippine Superliga (PSL) champion and four-time individual awardee for blocking and spiking, will soon team up with another former PSL superstar in Sisi Rondina.
The 'Cherry Bomb's' availability for the Flying Titans, though, remains uncertain in light of her Alas Pilipinas duties.

In four conferences with Akari, Manabat led her side to an eighth-place finish in their debut PVL campaign and has since scored a top ten and back-to-back seventh-place runs before her eventual departure.
