Ara Galang had another vintage performance for the Crossovers with 20 points built on 15 attacks, four blocks, and one ace.
With that, they successfully turned their fortunes around following a five-set meltdown to Petro Gazz last Tuesday.
Chery Tiggo is now the fifth team to hit the five-win mark this conference at 5-3, with three matches left in the preliminary round.
Cess Robles, the Crossovers' leading scorer this conference, fired a team-best 21 points on 16 attacks, three aces, two blocks, and eight digs.
The Foxies' own scoring machine in Trisha Tubu, meanwhile, was held to only 15 markers as the team's only double-digit scorer in the loss.
It was also a rough second Farm Fresh outing for Jolina dela Cruz with just seven points.
Recent history lesson
In its last match, Chery Tiggo was already up 18-10 in the third set against the Angels with a 2-0 set lead, only to fall on the wrong side of a reverse sweep.
This time around, the Crossovers' top offensive weapons took it upon themselves to rectify such fatal errors and restore their 'killer instinct.'
"Dahil lamang kami nu'n, inaantay na lang namin na mag-error sila. Parang hindi kami 'yung gumagawa ng paraan para makapuntos. Hinahayaan lang namin nang hinahayaan hanggang sa sila na 'yung nakahabol at nanalo," Galang.
"Nawala 'yung sinasabing killer instinct namin."
Now, they have left that grim past behind, right in time with the seeding race for the qualifying round heating up.
As Galang put it, "Hindi na pwedeng ganun. Tapos na yun. Tapos na 'yung mga nangyari. Kailangan ngayon, ma-redeem na namin 'yung sarili namin."
