CHERY Tiggo had just enough in the tank to complete a reverse sweep from a set down against Nxled, 23-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-20, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
Following back-to-back wins over fellow champion sides Creamline and Petro Gazz, the Crossovers stretched their win streak to three games behind the 17 excellent sets and 13 excellent digs of Alina Bicar.

"For today's game, nag-rerespond sila du'n sa intensyon ng mga coaches. Happy kami kasi lumabas kahit papano 'yung mga ineensayo namin. Hindi man lahat nandu'n [sa laro kanina], at least merong lumalabas," said Chery Tiggo head coach Kungfu Reyes.
Crossovers captain Aby Maraño, who had nine markers, added: "Definitely, we were really, really slow in the first part of the game and that's why talagang uminit ulo nila coach (Kungfu Reyes) sa amin. Sa training naman, intense 'yung ensayo pero pa-minsan, hindi namin kaagad nabibigay ('yung energy) sa game.

"Kailangan naming ma-apply sa (next) games na kapag nag-start 'yung game, dapat arangkada agad."
The Crossovers' scoring trifecta, led by former PVL MVP Mylene Paat (15 points), Eya Laure (12 points) and Cess Robles (11 points), did the damage on offense upon taking the lion's share of their 60 attacks in the two-hour, 23-minute, four-set contest.
It wasn't an easy victory by any stretch as Ivy Lacsina (20 points) took the wheel in a promising Nxled start that just fell flat come the second set, to which the Chameleons were unable to respond as Paat & Co. pulled away for the victory.
Nxled ace Jho Maraguinot had a breakout triple-double with staggering numbers of 31 receptions, 13 digs and 11 points as the Chameleons absorbed their fifth loss in six games.
