CHERY Tiggo has activated Imee Hernandez for the remainder of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Crossovers announced the long-awaited return of their 5-foot-11 ace to team training, and soon in matches, after a 14-month injury layoff.

“After her one year hiatus, she is finally back in training, taking it one step at a time, getting stronger, and more grateful than ever,” Chery Tiggo announced Friday.

The former University of Sto. Tomas middle blocker last saw action in the 2023 Second All-Filipino Conference against Nxled where she suffered an undisclosed knee injury following an awkward fall.

Her oncoming PVL comeback, which could come as early as Saturday against Farm Fresh, might just coincide with the Chery Tiggo debut of another ace middle blocker in Risa Sato.
Creamline’s champion defender sat out the Crossovers’ sorry five-set loss to Petro Gazz on Tuesday.
Hernandez and Sato’s joint entry will be of the essence in bolstering seventh-ranked Chery Tiggo’s bid for a higher placement ahead of the qualifying round with four matches left in prelims play.
All 12 teams will play a series of knockout matches in which the six winning teams will advance to the quarterfinals while the six losing teams will be split into two groups of three in the play-in tournament for the last two quarterfinals spots.
