MISSING Savi Davison might be a big blow for PLDT, but life goes on for the High Speed Hitters as they still opened the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference on a high.
The High Speed Hitters continued their winning ways this Saturday, dominating Galeries Tower in straight sets to earn their second victory in the preliminaries for solo second in Pool A.
PLDT team captain Kath Arado shared said that no major adjustments have been made even with the absence of their star spiker, noting how the coaches have prepared them for the absence of Davison who's expected to be out for 3-4 weeks.
“Unang-una po kasi, ‘di kami pinabayaan ng coaches talaga. Lahat naman since day one na pagdating ni Elena [Samoilenko], talaga tinrain ‘yung bawat isa, pinukpok talaga ‘yung bawat isa”, Arado said.
She also added that the team's solid chemistry helped buck the absence of Davision, as the team's bond allowed the brilliant Lena Samoilenko to seamlessly fit in with them.

“So, given na matagal na rin kasi kaming magkakasama nina Ate Fiola [Ceballos], ‘yung mga iba, late lang din naman si Sav, hindi siya masyadong adjustment," she said.
“‘Yun nga, magkakasama kami and isang sistema lang naman talaga ‘yung parang ina-adapt namin which is ‘yung kina coach [Ricafort].”
With Davison’s return still uncertain, the team's second stringers will have to be ready if they want to keep their winning ways when they take on Farm Fresh this Thursday.
