CAPITAL1 made sure it would not be a one-woman show in closing out the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference preliminaries.
The Solar Spikers wrapped things up with a four-set rout of Galeries Tower on Saturday, locking in the No. 8 seed behind a collective effort that went well beyond top gun Bella Belen.

France Ronquillo led that charge.
Facing her former team, the ex-Highriser erupted for 20 points, just three shy of Belen’s usual all-around brilliance of 23 points, 15 receptions, and 14 digs.
Cherry Nunag added 14 points, while Sydney Niegos chipped in 11 markers and 13 digs, as Capital1 showed it had more than one weapon offensively.
That was the bigger win for head coach Jorge Souza de Brito.
“We work as a team. Sometimes, the other players, even if they’re not scoring, they have to support. It’s kind of an engine that needs to work,” he said.
“All of them, they have a dream. They've been fighting for this and this is, for me, what really matters.”
Belen may be the centerpiece, but the Solar Spikers know that will not be enough moving forward.
“We are lucky because [Bella] is shining, but also, she cannot be shining alone. We’re going to help her in every effort,” he added.

Ronquillo’s breakout did not come as a surprise to Belen as more than the points, it was the intent to put in the work as much as she does in every way that stood out.
“Talagang nakikita ko na ‘yung effort niya to help sa team, at hindi lang din po si ate France kundi ‘yung buong team na ginagawa ‘yung best nila na mag-contribute, not only in scoring, but sa other departments din naman,” Belen said.
“Sabi nga namin sa meeting namin before, kung hindi ka maka-score, humanap ka ng way para makatulong pa sa team at ‘yun po ‘yung lumabas kanina.”
