DEFENDING champion Cagayan Valley downed Philippine Air Force, 25-13, 25-22, 25-25, to move up to third spot on Thursday in the V-League Season 11 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan on Thursday.

Rosemarie Vargas led the way for Cagayan Valley with 13 points, Aiza Maizo added 12 and Pau Soriano score 11.

Cagayan scored its second consecutive win and improved to third spot with a 3-1 win-loss card, while ending Air Force win run at two matches.

“Napaganda lang ang preparation,” said Lady Rising Suns coach Nes Pamilar. “Una gumaganda ang galaw nila, 'yung adjustment pattern namin nasusunod kaya nakaka-diskarte ’yung setter."

Gyzelle Sy made all of the Cagayan Valley’s 30 excellent sets.

Joy Cases had nine points for the Air Women, who dropped to fourth place with a 3-2 slate.
