BUDING Duremdes will don a new shade of red with Cignal for the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The former Chery Tiggo ace’s addition brings much-needed help to an undermanned HD Spikers with only two liberos in a 13-woman squad following an offseason exodus which included the departure of 11-year mainstay Jheck Dionela.
Duremdes will now form a defensive trio with Alas Pilipinas captain Dawn Macandili-Catindig and former Lyceum libero Camille Belaro with the HD Spikers.
Cignal unveiled its newest veteran star a day before its second PVL match against, ironically, her former team Chery Tiggo.

The HD Spikers won’t be totally unfamiliar territory for Duremdes.
Many familiar faces will welcome her at Cignal, beginning with coach Shaq delos Santos, who was her former mentor at both Petron side in the defunct Philippine Superliga and back in her UAAP days with Far Eastern University.
There will now be a quartet of ex-Lady Tamaraws under delos Santos’ wing in Gel Cayuna, Jov Fernandez, Gyzelle Sy and Duremdes.
Defense aside, Duremdes will carry championship experience to a title-seeking side as part of the PVL’s first-ever pro champion squad back in 2021 when Chery Tiggo bagged the 2021 Open Conference crown in Ilocos Norte.
