FAR Eastern University looks to work on the weaknesses exposed during its V-League stint, which came to an end when Bernadeth Pons went out injured.

Pons sprained her ankle during warmup for the opener of the best-of-three semifinals, and the No. 4 seeded Ateneo Lady Eagles went on to sweep the top-seeded Lady Tamaraws.

"Malaking factor (Pons absence) kasi every game laki ng pinupuntos nya at okay sya sa depensa. Para ko na syang second libero. Laki ng adjustment sa amin," said FEU coach Shaw De los Santos.

Toni Rose Basas and Celine Domingo stepped up for the Lady Tamaraws, but the two simply could not lift the squad.

Now the Lady Tamaraws are shifting focus to the new UAAP season, which matters most for them according to Delos Santos.

"Maganda naman ginawa namin pero di talaga para samin itong game. Magandang aral sa amin dun mamo-motivate pa kami at mag-mature pa," said Delos Santos.
