BEA de Leon remains day-to-day with doctors yet to give full clearance for the Choco Mucho middle hitter.

The Flying Titans debuted with a straight-sets win over BaliPure on Wednesday, with De Leon at the sidelines cheering on her new team in the PVL Open Conference.

Coach Oliver Almadro wouldn’t give specifics on De Leon’s condition, but says she is able to join practices.

“Kailangan namin i-strengthen pa yung legs niya kasi after UAAP, nag therapy muna siya and then hindi pwedeng kailangan sabak kaagad so strengthening muna,” said Almadro on De Leon.

“Day (to) day siya e. Slowly nagpa-practice naman na siya,” said the Choco Mucho mentor. “So, we just miss her now. And kailangan ko talaga one hundred percent. Kami namang coaches, nagre-rely kami sa report ng mga therapists namin, PT namin at tsaka ng mga doctors.”

“Pagka sinabi ng doctors, o hundred percent, good. Pag sinabi eighty percent, no, I like one hundred percent,” he added.

The Flying Titans did not need risk playing De Leon, with Kat Tolentino and Maddie Madayag leading them to the easy victory over the Water Defenders, while Alamdro also has reliable players in Arianne Angustia and Shannen Palec.
