ANTIPOLO —It seems like Creamline blocking ace Bea de Leon truly enjoys playing in out of town matches in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
A frontrunner for the top middle blocker plum, de Leon delivered some of her best games in her fourth campaign as a Cool Smasher outside the metro.
BDL dished out a conference-high six blocks in the defending champions’ Antipolo season-opener to cap her 10-piece.
She’d up the ante further on the scoring front in Creamline’s trip to Candon City in Ilocos Sur where she posted 12 points built on 10 attacks, one block and one ace.

Even in a crushing five-set loss to PLDT, the former Ateneo skipper and UAAP finals MVP registered one of several five-block games in which she produced 11 markers.
On Saturday, in Antipolo once more, de Leon converted five kill blocks, seven attacks and two aces to steer the Cool Smashers to their 17th straight semis appearance in as many conferences since 2017.

It might not be a conscious effort to perform for Creamline’s legions of province-based fans but BDL is grateful nonetheless to make the most of every chance she has to show out for those who continue to believe in them and in her.
"I would say I’m just really lucky to have been able to perform in these crowds, even in Candon and now in Ynares,” de Leon shared with SPIN.ph.
“I don’t really look for it as a goal but definitely, I’m just really happy that I get to do it in front of these people who have supported us through thick and thin.
“For all the people who have believed in me even if things got hard, sobra-sobrang thank you sa kanila kasi parang nauna pa ata akong mawala ng confidence sa sarili ko before sila. I’m just so lucky to be performing this way in front of them.”
