For seven of the eight years in her club career, Majoy Baron had been donning F2 Logistics' familiar yellow and black.
Next month, she is set to wear hues she is not familiar with — the colors of PLDT.
Baron is the second key pick-up made by the High-Speed Hitters for the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season after multi-awarded setter Kim Fajardo.

No longer under the watch of champion head coach Ramil de Jesus and playing with teammates outside of La Salle is something she is unfamiliar with.
But it's the uncertainty that excites her.
"'Yung thought na everything I learned from La Salle and F2, lalawak pa because I'm in a new system makes me really excited,” Baron said as she gets to learn under former PVL titlist Rald Ricafort.
“Every new coach and every new teammate, I intend to learn from them.” Baron has won at every level of competition.
Baron is a three-time UAAP champion and MVP in both collegiate and club levels with multiple national team appearances under her belt.
Now, she writes a new chapter in her career with PLDT.
“I'm coming into the PLDT team as a student of the sport. Hopefully, I ace this challenge as well,” she said.
Fajardo sets up new era with PLDT
Meanwhile, despite an injury-marred pro career to date, Baron's longtime setter in the college, club, and national ranks Fajardo is ready to embrace bigger challenges in an all-new battlefield.
"Gusto kong ma-challenge sa bagong systema. Gusto ko pang matuto,” the six-time Philippine Superliga best setter said.
The past few years have been challenging for Fajardo, marked by numerous injuries.
With PLDT, she aims not only to regain her health but also to lead the franchise to its first-ever professional title.
“Gusto kong maibalik 'yung dati kong kondisyon. Kayang kaya pa basta with the proper mindset and the guidance of my new coaches and teammates. Nakaka-excite lang isipin na bago lahat," she added.
