BANKO Perlas overcame a poor start to defeat PayMaya, 18-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-22, 15-11, on Saturday and snap a four-match losing run in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
American import Lakia Bright scored 25 and Thai reinforcement Jutarat Montripila had 24 points as the Spikers improved to 2-4.
Nicole Tiamzon had 11 markers for BanKo Perlas.
“Pahirapan ang panalo namin at least kahit papano nakahinga na kami kasi masyadong emotionally drained team dahil sa sunud sunod na talo,” said BanKo Perlas coach Dong dela Cruz.
“Actually ‘yung mga talo namin winnable, kasi kaya namin ang games na ‘yun. Dito sa game namin bumalik kami and I hope dere-deretso na ‘to,” he added.
PayMaya import Tess Rountree scored 39 for the High Flyers, who slid to third spot at 3-2.
Shelby Sullivan also had 13 points, while Jerilli Malabanan had 11 markers for PayMaya.
