ALYSSA Valdez is uncertain to play for Bali Pure in the best-of-three battle for third of the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference as the former Ateneo star and three-time UAAP MVP is weighing her options on joining the Purest Water Defenders in their series against Laoag or playing with the Lady Eagles in Singapore for the Asean University Games.

The league will resume on July 13 after a week-long break due to the Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which runs from July 5 to 10 at the MOA Arena. Game Two is scheduled on the 16th and, if necessary, Game Three will be on July 19. However, the AUG will be from July 11 to 16, which should make her unavailable for the first two matches of the V-League battle-for-third in case she joins Ateneo.

“Hindi ko pa rin alam eh, wala pa rin namang final decision,” said the 23-year old pride of San Juan, Batangas shortly after Bali Pure lost to Pocari Sweat in Game Three of the semifinals, 25-15, 25-27, 11-25, 23-25, on Monday at the PhilSports Arena.

Valdez, however, is hinting on making a trip back and forth to accommodate both leagues.

“Kung kaya namang parehas puntahan bakit hindi ‘di ba? So gagawan natin ng paraan,” she said. “And you know siguro kahit anong desisyon ang mangyari for sure maiintindihan naman ako ng teammates ko sa both teams eh. And they're just there to support me and I’m just gonna be there to support them and contribute kung anong kaya kong ibigay sa team.”

“They’re gonna leave on the ninth ata of July until the 18th, sakto sa Finals and battle for third so let’s see. Let’s see kung anong schedule doon kasi syempre gagawa naman tayo ng paraan para makasama ko ang isa kong team and ako makasama ang Ateneo ‘di ba?,” added Valdez.
