BALI Pure dominated Philippine Air Force, 25-22, 25-19, 25-21, in the Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Monday.
American import Kate Morrell led the way for the Bali Pure team that bagged its second straight win. Morell made 19 points, built on 17 kills, and registered 12 digs. Former Ateneo stars Dzi Gervacio and Amy Ahomiro also added 10 and eight markers, respectively.
Bali Pure improved to a 2-1 win-loss record.
"We're very, very happy with the win. Of course, we know that we still have a lot of things to improve on, and we want to keep on working on that," said Bali Pure veteran Charo Soriano, whose team started flat after a four-set loss to University of Santo Tomas.
"It was a good game for us. I think everyone was very in sync today,” she added. “We were more consistent this game than the last few games that we’ve played and I think that’s a good sign also.”
American setter and skipper Kaylee Manns registered 41 excellent sets in a match that took an hour and 25 minutes to play.
Jocemer Tapic made 10 points for Air Force, while Joy Cases added nine markers as the Open Conference runner-up slid down to a 1-3 slate.
