ATENEO takes on University of Santo Tomas in the opening match of Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
The match schedules were released on Monday but no official lineups were posted.
The Lady Eagles are playing in their first tournament together since winning their second straight crown in the UAAP.
MVP Alyssa Valdez, if lined up, will be seeing action in her fourth event after stints with the Philippine national volleyball team in the Asian Under-23 tournament and the Southeast Asian Games and the V-League Open Conference with PLDT.
The Ateneo-UST match is set at 12:45 p.m. and will be aired live on GMA News TV Channel 11.
Far Eastern University faces University of Batangas at 3 p.m. match followed by a match between San Sebastian and on College of St. Benilde at 5 p.m.
On Sunday, National University faces University of the Philippines at 12:45 p.m. followed by the match between Technological Institute of the Philippines and De La Salle University-Dasmariñas at 3 p.m. NCAA titlist Arellano faces Polytechnic University of the Philippines at 5 p.m.
Group A is composed of Arellano, FEU, NU, UB, UP, and PUP, while Group B has Ateneo, St. Benilde, DLSU-D, San Sebastian, TIP, and UST. Each team will play round-robin in their group.
