ATENEO secured the first semifinal berth in the V-League Collegiate Conference after a 25-14, 25-17, 25-19 win over Arellano on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
Alyssa Valdez scored 20 points, while Amy Ahomiro added 13 as the Lady Eagles enter the round of four unbeaten in seven matches.
Danna Henson scored five points for Arellano, which dropped to 2-3.
“Siguro kaya marami ang naka-points sa spikes kasi we worked as a team today,” said Valdez.
The Lady Eagles gave away 31 points to the Lady Chiefs through errors their miscues, but the Katipunan-based spikers had more blocks, 6-1, and service aces, 8-1.
“Marami pa kami dapat i-improve, gaya ng service errors, miscommunication and blockings,” said Valdez.
