ROYSE Tubino and Jem Gutierrez continued their fine play as Pacifictown-Army routed BaliPure, 25-17, 25-22, 25-18, in the PVL Open Conference on Saturday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
Tubino unloaded 15 kills and wound up with 17 points, while making 10 digs and six excellent receptions.
Gutierrez fired six service aces and finished with 12 points as the Lady Troopers demolished the Water Defenders in one hour and 13 minutes.
Assistant coach Rico De Guzman steered the Lady Troopers to a second victory without coach Kungfu Reyes, who is an assistant for the Philippine women’s volleyball team seeing action in the Asean Grand Prix.
Army is also without Jovelyn Gonzaga, but got nine points from Ging Balse-Pabayo and seven from Lutgarda Malaluan in posting its sixth win in 10 matches.
