PHILIPPINE Army aims to keep in step with Cagayan Valley as one of two unbeaten teams in the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 Open Conference when it collides with Philippine National Police Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.

The Lady Troopers are hoping to notch their third straight win against PNP in the 2 p.m. match up after coming fresh from a 25-14, 25-12, 25-13 victory over Philippine Navy.

The 2-0 record of Army is second-best in the league behind the 4-0 slate of the idle Lady Rising Suns.

Team captain Joanne Bunag however, said there is no room for complacency for the Lady Troopers despite going up against a PNP side which remains winless in two outings.

“Kasi medyo magagaan 'yung mga nakalaban namin nitong mga nakaraan," she said, noting Army also cruised past Philippine Air Force in its first outing, 25-13, 25-22, 25-18.

"Pero kahit na ganoon mag-fo-focus pa rin kami sa practice para sa next game," she added.

Meanwhile, Meralco tries to get back on the winning track when it takes on Navy in the 4 p.m. main game.

The Power Spikers proved no match against the Lady Rising Suns as they lost in straight sets, 24-26, 22-25, 14-25, and evened their record at 2-2.

Navy (0-2) is one of three teams yet to break into the win column along with PNP (0-2) and Far Eastern University (0-3).
