PLDT Home Ultera tries to take the solo lead when it faces lowly Philippine Coast Guard on Tuesday in the Shakey’s V-League Season 12 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

The Ultra Fast Hitters, tied with Cagayan Valley and Meralco with 2-0 win-loss records, clash with the Lady Dolphins at 4 p.m.

PLDT enters the match oozing confidence after turning what was expected to be a tough match into a straight-sets win against powerhouse Army.

It will be a tough match for winless Coast Guard as it faces a powerhouse PLDT squad led by Alyssa Valdez, Sue Roces and Jaja Santiago.

Meanwhile, Army tries to bounce back when it meets Philippine Navy at 2 p.m.

The Lady Troopers were just limited to single-digit outputs, with Rachel Anne Daquis scoring only nine points, and Nene Bautista, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Mary Jean Balase and veteran setter Tina Salak held to just seven each.

Army and Navy both hold 1-1 cards.

Navy is also coming off a straight-sets loss to Meralco and the Lady Sailors are counting on former Perpetual Help standout Norie Jane Diaz and San Sebastian spiker Jolina Labiano to lead the way.
