PACIFICTOWN-Army vented its ire on BaliPure, scoring a 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 victory on Wednesday in the PVL Reinforced Conference at the Arena in San Juan.
Coming off a five-set loss to Motolite, the Lady Troopers came out firing with Olena Lymareva-Flink and Jenelle Jordan leading the way to their fourth win in seven matches for third place.
Ukrainian import Lymareva-Flink topscored with 15 points coming from 13 attacks, while American reinforcement Jordan had finished 11 points.
“Yun naman ang importante after a loss, kung paano kami magrerecover. Must win kasi to para makeep namin sa standings namin,” said Pacifictown-Army head coach Kungfu Reyes. “At least medyo safe kami sa top four dahil nanalo kami ngayon.”
Royse Tubino added nine points, Sarah Jane Gonzales dished out 21 excellent sets on top of five points and libero Angela Nunag had 20 digs and 14 excellent receptions.
BaliPure is on the brink of elimination after suffering its seventh loss in as many matches.
Danijela Dzakovic scored 14 and Alexandra Vajdova added 13 for the Water Defenders.
