ARELLANO University secured at least a playoff for a quarterfinal berth after a 25-19, 25-17, 25-16, victory over College of St. Benilde on Thursday in the Shakey's V-League Season 11 First Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

Danna Henson had 13 points as the Lady Chiefs notched their third win in as many matches.

The usually reliable Menchie Tubiera managed to score just four points, but Jovielyn Prado came off the bench to score 12 and help Arellano remain unbeaten on top of Group A.

It was a huge follow-up win for Arellano, the NCAA runner-up, after a huge 21-25, 25-16, 17-25, 25-20, 15-13, over UAAP champion Ateneo on Sunday.

Javier said he has warned his team against complacency.

Therese Veronas and Jeanette Panaga came up with nine points each for the Lady Blazers, who are now tied for third with the Lady Eagles with an even record of 1-1.
