BALIPURE hardly broke a sweat in beating winless Coast Guard, 25-12, 25-8, 25-9, on Wednesday in the V-League Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
The Water Defenders ended the elimination round with a 5-2 record to share third spot with Bureau of Customs.
Katherine Morell had 20 points for the Water Defenders, Dzi Gervacio scored 13 and Amy Ahomiro added nine.
The semifinal placings will be determined by the outcome of the match between co-leaders Pocari and University of Santo Tomas.
"We knew we needed to win to get a good seeding so we came out and played ball," said team captain Kaylee Manns.
Coast Guard bowed out of the tournament winless in seven matches.
