AMERICAN import Kate Morrell is not feeling any pressure and says she is actually enjoying the matchup as she leads BaliPure against a Customs squad led by local crowd favorite Alyssa Valdez in the V-League.
“It’s fun, it so competitive, I love how the fans get into it,” she said.
“You know, obviously I’m playing with some of her teammates so there’s a little bit of rivalry.”
But Morrell said the BaliPure-Customs rivalry is only on the court.
“Alyssa lives in the same building as us so we cross paths. We like to talk, she’s a very sweet girl,” she shared. “It’s fun it grows the game of volleyball.”
The Water Defenders took the series opener in three sets and are looking to clinch a final berth on Monday.

There is actually some pressure to deliver for Morrell as BaliPure looks to get past the semifinals this time after falling short the previous conference.
Morrell vows to play hard each match, and even looks to work on improving on her game.
“I mean every game I just go out and play my hardest and do what needs to be done in the team. If being a defensive threat it’s fine,” she said.
“My serving has been not so good lately so I think that’s one thing I can step up and help the team a little bit more. I’ll play any role that needs to be played,” she added.
