MAIN gunner Alyssa Valdez kept her feet on the ground as the Creamline Cool Smashers forced a do-or-die game Friday after winning Game Two of the Premier Volleyball League against the Pocari Sweat-Air Force on Wednesday.
Despite high hopes for the team, Valdez said that they still need to double their effort and to "just play loose" in their every game since it would be "anybody's game" on Friday.
“Sabi nga nila, ‘bilog ang bola,'"Valdez said.
"So kahit anong mangyari, momentum man or even sa games, even sa set, hindi mo makukuha yan eh. Kung sino mas gusto manalo yun talaga yung mananalo," she continued.
The star-studded team expects veteran-filled Air Force to come back stronger in their third game on Friday after winning the first match against Creamline, but they’re ready for whatever the Lady Warriors have in store for them.
“Definitely, Air Force will go back and fight harder on Friday. So we have to be ready also sa mga surprises na ipapakita nila,” Valdez explained.
“Sabi namin just play your game. Ma-block ka man, mag-error ka man, andun pa rin naman tayo,” she added.
However, she also said there’s no assurance in their momentum because it’s still up to whoever wants to win the game more.
