    Creamline star Alyssa Valdez earns PVL Open MVP award

    BATANGAS City — Creamline team captain Alyssa Valdez added another feather to her cap, earning the MVP award in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

    The pride of San Juan, Batangas, who won the MVP award in the Reinforced Conference last year, was also named first best outside spiker, while her teammate Jema Galanza was the second best outside spiker, in a ceremony before the second match of the finals on Saturday at Batangas City Sports Coliseum.

    Ateneo-Motolite stalwart Maddie Madayag was the first best middle blocker and BanKo standout Kathy Bersola was the second best middle blocker.

    Creamline playmaker Jia Morado bagged her third most setter award, Petro Gazz defense specialist Cienne Cruz was the best libero and Ateneo-Motolite hitter Kat Tolentino was the best opposite spiker.
