MVPs Alyssa Valdez and Myla Pablo will banner the Premier Volleyball League All-Star game on February 2 at the Arena in San Juan City.
The league’s third All-Star Game to kick off Season 3 of the PVL with the top two players headlining the star-studded squads. The game is slated at 4 p.m. after the autograph signing and skills games for fans.
Reigning Open Conference MVP Valdez, who powered Creamline to two conference titles, will reunite with Ateneo stars Deanna Wong, Maddie Madayag and Dani Ravena and fellow Cool Smashers Michele Gumabao, Mel Gohing and Risa Sato.
Coaching the team is Petro Gazz and College of Saint Benilde head coach Jerry Yee, who will also reunite with Collegiate Conference and Finals MVP Isa Molde of UP.
Yee will have Adamson coach Air Padda as his assistant with Chie Saet and Jessey De Leon of Petro Gazz, BanKo’s Nicole Tiamzon and Kathy Bersola and Grazielle Bombita of Iriga-Navy completing Team Valdez.
Two-time league MVP Pablo, who transferred from Pocari Sweat-Air Force to Motolite, will reunite with fellow Lady Warrior Dell Palomata and her former coach Jasper Jimenez being the assistant of head coach Oliver Almadro of Ateneo in the All-Star game.
Pablo will also team up with Creamline’s Finals MVP Jia Morado and Jema Galanza, Ateneo’s Kat Tolentino, Vanessa Gandler and Bea De Leon, BanKo’s Jem Ferrer and Joy Dacoron of BanKo, Petro Gazz’s Jonah Sabete and Cherry Nunag, Tacloban’s Dimdim Pacres, and Adamson-Akari’s Thang Ponce.
