ALYSSA Valdez will team up with Jaja Santiago at PLDT in the coming Shakey’s V-League Season 12 Open Conference kicking off on Easter Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.
Valdez and Santiago will lead a star-studded PLDT side in the eight-team conference, according to the official lineup given by Shakey’s V-League organizer Sports Vision during Tuesday’s Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.
Ateneo libero Denden Lazaro will also be part of the PLDT team coached by Roger Gorayeb.
Joining Valdez, Santiago, and Lazaro are Rubie De Leon, Suzanne Roces, Rysabelle Devanadera, Gretchel Soltones, Lizlee Ann Pantone, Elaine Kasilag, Amanda Villanueva, Ma. Asuncion Mendiola, Laurence Ann Latigay, Jam Ferrer, and Charo Soriano.
PLDT will vie for the crown against Baguio, Cagayan Valley, Fourbees, Meralco, Army, Coast Guard, and Navy.
“Maganda ang line up namin ngayon although hindi pa kami makakapag practice ng buo kasi si Jaja exam week ngayon. Tapos si Alyssa last week lang natapos ang Finals (exams),” said PLDT coach Roger Gorayeb on Tuesday during the Philippines Sportswriters Association Forum at Shakey’s Malate.
“Si Amanda Villanueva andito rin sa amin kaya magandang development ito para sa team namin,” added the veteran mentor.
