    May 26, 2019

THERE is no final diagnosis yet on Alyssa Valdez’s left ankle sprain yet but she hopes to play for Creamline on Wednesday against BaliPure in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference.

Creamline’s Physical Therapist couldn’t give a final diagnosis Valdez’s left ankle injury yet but she sprained it and there’s no swelling.

Valdez said it will depend on the level of pain when she wakes up Monday morning. She will undergo therapy and hope that it’s nothing serious on her injury.

“Baka therapy tomorrow. Depende. Pagkagising the next day siguro. Hopefully, walang serious na nangyari sa akin and hopefully, I can play on Wednesday,” Valdez said.

Valdez was blocked by Petro Gazz’s net defense and tried to save the ball but she slipped on the floor and hurt her anklewhen the set was tied to 16-apiece.

The five-time MVP was carried off the court and failed to comeback as Creamline absorbed a 22-25, 24-26, 22-25 loss to Petro Gazz on Sunday’s opener at the Arena in San Juan City.

Valdez admitted that the Angels played like a well-oiled wrecking machine with imports Wilma Salas and Janisa Johnson combining for 36 points in three sets.

“Well, that will be PetroGazz really played well today and we had lapses also. This is the first game of the conference and siyempre hindi pa namin kilala ang mga makakalaban,” she said.

The former Lady Eagles shared that their new Chinese coach Huanning Li took the blame for their loss in his first game calling the shots in a Philippine club league.

“Well, sinabi lang ni coach, very humble naman siya na first game niya here in the Philippines, so nanibago rin siguro siya,” Valdez said. “So he was saying na siguro there is something wrong sa mga ginawa niya sa game. So, he was hoping na mas makakadjust din siya at maayos rin namin during practices.”

Valdez was impressed on how their new coach handled the situation, which makes them eager to bounce back on Wednesday against fellow opening day loser BaliPure.
