ALYSSA Valdez said Bureau of Customs simply refused to go down without a fight in Game Two of its Shakey’s V-League Reinforced Conference against BaliPure at the PhilSports Arena on Monday.

Valdez scored 27 points as Customs staved off elimination with a 25-19, 15-25, 25-20, 25-17 win, bouncing back from a straight-sets loss and sending the series to a deciding Game Three on Wednesday.

“Ayaw lang talaga siguro naming matapos ang series ngayong araw na ito. Another game. Another battle,” said Valdez after BoC booked its first win over Bali Pure in the conference.

Valdez stressed that Customs is not a one-woman show.

“I think with the help naman of my teammates talaga. You can’t do naman talaga everything alone,” she said. “We’re really happy na ‘yung buong team, we really played as one.”

Valdez and BoC coach Sherwin Meneses agreed that no team holds the edge in Game Three.
