THE Nakornnont Volleyball Club has formally sought permission from Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Inc. (LVPI) to allow Alyssa Valdez to play for its team in the second round of the Volleyball Thailand League 2016-2017.
A letter was sent by 3BB Nakornnont Volleyball Club manager Parawee Hoisang to the LVPI on Wednesday to formally inform the federation of their interest in Valdez.
Based on the letter, Valdez will be with Nakornnont for two-and-a-half months beginning January 15 in time for the second round hostilities of the 2016-2017 Volleyball Thailand League season.
“Invariable with our efforts to make the team stronger, we are allowed to have international guest players in the line-up. It is for this reason that we write to ask for your permission to allow Ms. Alyssa Valdez, a volleyball player of the Philippines, to come and join us from January 15th 2017 to March 31st 2017,” wrote Hoisang in the letter.
The LVPI is expected to allow Valdez to suit up for the Thai-based club as they are now getting in touch with the three-time UAAP MVP, who is expected to make her debut on January 29 against King-Bangkok.
Nakornnont, a club based in Nonthaburi, a suburb of Bangkok, is currently in fourth place among eight ballclubs in the team standings with the first round ending this weekend.
3B Nakornnont is also expected to see action in the Thai-Denmark Super League, usually held by the end of March.
