ALYSSA Eroa has parted ways with the Galeries Tower Highrisers.
The team penned a brief parting note to its captain after a 13-month, three-conference stint.

“Thank you for the heart and dedication you poured to our team. See you on the other side of the court, Ly,” the Highrisers wrote.

The 28-year-old libero-slash-captain was the veteran centerpiece of a young, two-year-old Galeries Tower side that had its best run yet in the PVL.
Eroa was at the forefront on defense in the Highrisers’ surprising run in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The San Sebastian standout helped Galeries Tower’s unlikely rise to the quarterfinals after a monumental five-set upset win over Cignal in the qualifying round.
Their underdog story was cut short as its playoffs debut ended in a two-game quarterfinals sweep at the hands of Akari, with both matches decided in five sets.
As far as individual awards go, Eroa was hailed as the best libero of the 2024 Reinforced Conference just over a year since winning the same nod in the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) with the Marikina Lady Shoemasters in their bronze medal run.
Fought hard and proud
Shortly after what would now be her final match as a Highriser, Eroa couldn’t contain her pride and emotions on how Galeries Tower’s dream run that mirrored her own journey came into fruition.
“Ang bilis ng mga pangyayari after ng pagbalik ko sa PVL. Nakakatuwa kasi ako ‘yung team captain nung team na lumaban sa ganitong klaseng laro, sa level ng quarterfinals. Sobrang saya na ako ‘yung team captain, Eroa said.
“Nasubukan lang din talaga yung experience ko tapos na-test kung gaano kahaba ‘yung pasensya ko kasi madalas talaga wala na eh, nauubusan din ako. Pero kasi nga, bata pa yung team so kailangan ko rin i-workout yung pasensya ko.”
Her next destination, may it be in the PVL or elsewhere, is yet to be known.
