Hours after the confirmation of Greek import Eva Chantava’s exit, the Super Spikers locals unleashed their best performance yet to end an early two-game slump.
They managed to produce double-digit cushions that ballooned to as much as 10 and were ultimately insurmountable for the reeling champions.
Now at 2-1 (win-loss), the High Speed Hitters’ now-tamed win run will stand as the league’s third-longest behind a treble of unrivaled Creamline streaks.
"Na-surprise ako kasi no expectations talaga kami sa laro na 'to, sabi ko nga sa kanila. 'Yung sa panalo, hindi naman kasi ako nawawalan ng pag-asa sa team namin kahit may import man o wala," said Cignal head coach Shaq delos Santos.

Gel Cayuna set up what arguably becomes one the biggest upsets of the conference with 20 excellent sets and six points.
Ishie Lalongisip fell a few digs shy of a triple-double with 15 points, 11 receptions and eight digs.
But it was a former PLDT player in Erika Santos who showed the way in Cignal’s first win of import-laden play with 17 attack points.

Reigning PVL Invitational MVP Savi Davison was held to her lowest scoring output so far this conference with 14 points.
It was nonetheless the lone silver lining in a tough first loss for PLDT as she added nine receptions and seven digs.
Russian import Anastasiia Bavykina registered a 10-point, 10-reception double-double.
Kianna Dy backed Davison among the locals with seven markers.
