AN interim coach will handle AKARI's campaign in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) which opens its 2024 season next month.
Raffy Mosuela, a former volleyball player, will take the reins as the Chargers aim to improve their seventh-place finish last season. Whether Mosuela will keep the coaching job will most likely depend on how the team fares under his guidance.
Mosuela's appointment was announced on Tuesday. He will take over from Jorge Souza De Brito who handled the Chargers after a one-year stint.

The Chargers have high hopes for the team and Mosuela, who played volleyball with now-defunct clubs PLDT Home TVolution-Air Force and the Philippine Air Force.
"We're right behind you as you lead the charge, Coach Raffy. It's time for an electrifying season," the club wrote.

Mosuela becomes the first coaching appointment of newly-minted head of volleyball operations for Akari and concurrent Nxled head coach Taka Minowa.
He is currently the head coach of University of the East's high school team.
The team is expected to do well with the high-profile additions of Grethcel Soltones and Ced Domingo.
The 2024 PVL season gets underway on February 20.
