ANOTHER tournament done, but the work goes on for Aiza Maizo-Pontillas.
After claiming conference MVP and Finals MVP honors for V-League Reinforced Conference champion Cagayan Valley, celebrations are in order for the Lady Rising Suns' top player.
She would like nothing more than to return to Iloilo and see her two-year-old son Arron, who she hasn’t seen in a week.
That, however, will have to wait.
As much as she misses her family, Maizo-Pontillas could not go home just yet as she has an obligation with San Beda women's volleyball team as an assistant coach in the coming 90th NCAA Season. She is part of the national team that will compete in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games.
Still, Aiza said the sacrifices are all worth it.
The Arena in San Juan on Sunday.
“Last week ko lang siya last nakita, nag-Skype lang kami kahit takbo takbo lang siya 'yun na ang nagbibigay ng ispiration sa akin," she added.
The 26-year old opposite spiker has repeated her feat in 2009, when she led the Tigresses to a championship in the Second Conference while winning the top individual honor.
