ADAMSON University coach Air Padda is looking forward to battling UAAP rivals in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference.
The Lady Falcons are in the No. 3 spot with a 2-0 win-loss record, behind University of Sto. Tomas and Far Eastern University, which hold an identical 3-0 slates.
“I’m actually looking forward to it. You know when we play teams at a higher level we tend to play up to that level. Surprisingly, I know we’ll do much better than how we played today and in our previous match,” she said.
Padda was not pleased with Adamson’s performances in their wins over NCAA teams, and is wary ahead of their match against FEU on Sunday.
“It worries me, I’m like, that’s where inconsistency lies,” she admitted.
Padda wanted her wards not to put much attention on their scoring average but on their overall performance.
“I just started talking to them about stats this week and really breaking down stats,” she said. “And sometimes they’re like ‘Oh coach I got 12 points’ but (I’ll tell them) ‘yeah but you also committed 12 errors’.”
“And that’s where our inconsistency lies, we’re like scoring points for us but we’re also scoring just as many points to the other team,” she added.
