AIR Force arranged a semis face-off with No. 2 seed Pocari Sweat after an easy win over Adamson University, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
Iari Yongco led the way for the Lady Jet Spikers with 14 points, while skipper Joy Cases and Jocemer Tapic had 10 markers apiece.
Last conference’s dead last team improved to a 5-2 win-loss record at the third spot behind Pocari Sweat (5-1) and unbeaten Creamline (6-0).
“Sobrang importante (ito para sa amin), inspirasyon sa amin dati naming standing na kulelat kami kaya nagpursige kami makapunta ng final four,” said Air Force coach Jasper Jimenez.
May Ann Pantino and Dell Palomata combined for 15 points for the Lady Jet Spikers, who needed an hour and 17 minutes to win the match.
Skipper Jema Galanza finished with 14 points for Adamson, which dropped to 1-6 tied with Power Smashers.
