UNDER the weather or not, Myla Pablo wasn't about miss Game Two of the Premier Volleyball League Open Confernce finals.
So when the match unfurled, Pablo hardly looked like she was coming off an illness, smashing thunderous spikes one after another for Pocari Sweat.
Held to just nine points due to abdominal pain caused by UTI (urinary tract infection) in the series opener, the conference MVP bounced back and fired 21 points including four blocks.
Unfortunately, her all-around effort just wasn't enough to bail out Pocari Sweat as BaliPure went on to capture its first league title with a 25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 26-24 victory on Wednesday.
Kasi pag nanalo ka ngayon, may Game 3.So ibibigay mo talaga 'yung best mo, kahit sabihin mong, 'Ay, parang may sakit ka,'" she said.
It was her first loss in the biggest stage. But as stinging as it was, Pablo still held her head high.
Right now, Pablo said they will take a rest before going back to work.
"Kami po, hindi namin pababayaan ang sarili namin, magwo-work out pa rin kami. Siguro magbabakasyon lang," she said.
