ADAMSON University escaped San Beda University, 25-16, 16-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-8, on Sunday to remain unscathed in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
Eli Soyud led the way for the Lady Falcons with 17 points, while Joy Docoron added 13 and Bernadette Flora had an all-around game of 12 markers, 21 digs and 19 excellent receptions.
Adamson, coming off a four-set win over University of Santo Tomas on Saturday, scored its sixth straight win to tighten its grip on the No. 1 spot.
“I think it was a little rough for our girls to have back-to-back games, I think coming off our win yesterday, we’re still really inconsistent,” said Adamson coach Air Padda.
“If we had a little break in between your games you can go back to the gym and work on some stuff but we don’t have the luxury of doing that and today once even more inconsistent than yesterday,” she added.
Team captain Cesca Racraquin scored a game-high 23 points built on 22 attacks for SBU, while Nieza Viray added 16 and Satrriani Espiritu chipped in 10.
The Lady Red Spikers slid to 1-4.
