ADAMSON University recovered from a poor start to turn back also-ran San Sebastian College, 19-25, 25-10, 25-21, 25-13, on Sunday to sweep the preliminary round of the Premier Volleyball League at The Arena in San Juan.
Bernadette Flora scored 17 and Eli Soyud added 15 points for the Lady Falcons, who came away unscathed in seven outings in the eliminations.
Still, coach Air Padda rued the Lady Falcons inconsistency.
“I feel like it’s the same story, you guys probably know what I’m gonna say on inconsistency,” said Padda.
“You know it would’ve been nice to finish strong, finish the conference play strong but that didn’t happen, we’re still inconsistent and it worries me a little bit.”
Padda, will face No. 4 University of the Philippines in the best-of-three semifinals.
“After today this was like the end of our eliminations so this is important for us to finish with a good feeling going into the semis and I don’t think that we did that today,” she said.
Shannai Requierme scored 17 points for SSC, which went winless in the tournament.
